Giving - Fundraising Events

Distress Centres' Resource Development Office, the Board of Directors, and the senior staff along with a core of committed volunteers are responsible for raising approximately 50% of the annual budget. This is achieved through the generous support of many foundations, corporations, service clubs and individuals as well as proceeds from several annual special events. These funds are used to support the services provided by our programs.

Our 16th annual B.A.D. Ride (Bikers Against Despair) will take place on Sunday May 26, 2013. This year's ride will start at the AMC Theatres in Vaughan and finish at The Markham Fairgrounds for an afternoon of great BBQ and entertainment. And of course, the draw for the Grand Prize, a 2013 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic 110th Anniversary Edition bike.
