Each dollar has the ability to make an incredible impact and we do our best to MAKE it stretch far as possible to ensure access and availability of our life-sustaining support services to individuals in our community who are at-risk and their most vulnerable.

Each year, 500+ riders on sport bikes, cruisers, tourers, choppers, customs, scooters, trikes and rat bikes come out on the last Sunday in May for B.A.D. Ride in support of Distress Centres. We hope you’ll consider joining us! Our Vision is to ensure that every individual in need receives life-sustaining emotional support.

B.A.D. Ride 21 is on Sunday, May 27th, 2018. It kicks off at Markham Fairgrounds, weaves through Ontario backroads with a suggested route designed by motorcycle enthusiasts, has a midway stop, and returns to an after-party where registered riders will enjoy a BBQ lunch, live entertainment, swag, contests, exhibitions, a silent auction, give-aways, VIP upgrades and the opportunity to win this year’s grand prize - a 2018 Harley-Davidson Softail® Street Bob®!

For 50 years, Distress Centres has provided 24-hour support, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to individuals in our community at risk and their most vulnerable. We are Canada’s oldest volunteer delivered crisis, emotional support and suicide prevention + intervention + postvention service agency.

Our crisis and emotional distress services are available via hotline, online chat, and text. We also offer face-to-face individual as well as group support and counselling to those who have lost a loved one to suicide or homicide and are navigating the aftermath.

MOTORCYCLE HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE - CLASS OF 2017

Pat has donated countless hours as a volunteer working with numerous motorcycle charity rides including M.C. work for the B.A.D Ride, Motorcycles for Myelin and the Ride for Sight. has also been Master of Ceremonies for the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction events in Ontario as well as Vancouver and Edmonton. For over 25 years, he was the MC for the MAX Awards, and countless Show Bike Awards shows at the Motorcycle Super Show and Spring Show. For five years spearheaded the Masters of Mosport and Motorcycle Road Racers Reunion event at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in conjunction with the Superbike Doubleheader weekend. The event celebrated some of the great racers and champions who had raced at the track going back to the 1960’s.

Pat worked alongside Craig Hill as host and play by play announcer for the Castrol National Superbike Series travelling across Canada to almost every road race track. For many years Pat worked alongside Colin Fraser as the host and play by play announcer for the CSBK Canadian Superbike Championship broadcast on TSN.

Currently Pat heads up the announcing team for the annual CSBK Superbike Doubleheader weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, is the lead announcer at Daytona for the Daytona 200 and Fall Cycle Scene races and continues his support of many motorcycle charity rides and events.

“Rockin’blues with energy and showmanship” We are a 4 piece group that plays Rockin’blues covers and originals. We take pride in our performances, shows, and our goal is always to make sure the audience has a memorable time whenever they see us perform. We have an abundance of contacts through email, Facebook and media, and we do whatever we can to promote the band at clubs, pubs where we play. Stone Blue’s repertoire includes proven songs by artists such as CCR, Eric Clapton, Tragically Hip, Tom Petty, Stevie Ray Vaughn, David Bowie, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Big Sugar, Johnny Cash, The Band, Muddy Waters, Foo Fighters, Black Keys, Doors, Springsteen, Steve Earle, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Beatles and Badfinger. In addition, the band plays several original songs, written and recorded by Mark Ripp.
